Bowenwork

massaging hands

What is the purpose of Bowenwork?

This technique can be beneficial in a wide range of situations. It can assist recovery from many conditions, from chronic illness to traumatic injuries, depending on the individual client's capacity to heal.

Bowenwork is a gentle application of hands-on stimulations to the body. These stimulations address ligiments, tendons, muscle edges and nerves through a chain reaction of vibrations through the body. The action of the vibration supplies the body with specific information to relax and set forth corrections to occur in the body. Through this powerful action, our bodies obtain the ability to heal issues and concerns that have  been there for decades.

Testimonial

"I have occasional fibrocysts in my breasts. They are painful
and take months to clear up once they are present.
I did one treatment of Bowen and the results were phenomenal.
The next morning I had no painful lumps and the veins had actually looked diminished and not engorged.
I am thankful for this procedure."

    What happens during a session?

Bowenwork sessions usually last about an hour each, depending on the individual client. The moves are gentle and can be done through light clothing if the client prefers.

In a session that balances the entire body, the lower back is addressed first, then the upper back, and then the neck. Some procedures may be done with the client sitting or standing.

Many clients report that Bowenwork is the most relaxing experience they have ever experienced, some even falling asleep.
